Mark McQueen developed his technical and creative chops as a commercial photographer working for Fortune 100 companies in Manhattan starting in 1982. On his honeymoon in 1985, Mark photographed a few dogs on the streets of Paris, and found his second passion. On his return to New York, he started walking the streets "on safari", looking for quirky dogs whose personality he could capture and share.

Mark's dog photos have appeared in several publications, including the cover of City Dogs, by J.C. Suares (Collins Pub.) and a spread in Modern Dog Magazine. His stock images are represented by Ron Kimball Stock .

Mark volunteers extensively for Animal Haven, a no-kill shelter and sanctuary, from which he has also adopted several pets.
